A person is called to physics or is fascinated with learning about the cosmos, and in order to pursue that love is faced with a moral conflict: Research funded by and for developing WMD. Your description of a child-like love for physics reveals how easily preyed upon researchers are.
Thank you for your consistent stance for humanity, Chanda, and for speaking up. Won’t always be “same as it ever was.”
