Hi! I’m Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, a theoretical (astro)physicist in her final months of PhD study. In September, I will begin a NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship in the Observational Cosmology Lab of Goddard Space Flight Center. My main area of research is theoretical cosmology, and I am especially interested in creative approaches to the dark energy and cosmological constant problem(s). Here is my CV.
Here are some interesting links:
- My page at Perimeter Institute.
- The arXiv is very important.
- I use Cosmo Coffee to filter the arXiv.
- My guest entry at Cosmic Variance on diversity in physics.
- Speaking of which, check out the National Society of Black Physicists and the National Society of Hispanic Physicists websites. Also there is an NSBP Blog, Vector.
- Here is an article about how I pronounce the letter “h.”
The rest of the stuff below is my blog. I cover things that are of interest to me, which is primarily everything.
“Chandavato kim nāma kammam na sijjhati?”
Translation: With earnest desire, everything is possible.

very impressive, congrats and you go girl!
I just got introduced to Hawksley Workman through my guitar teacher. If I had a bit more time to practice, I would have also been a part of this past Sunday’s prelude. And I would have played/sung Hawksley’s Safe and Sound. So wish I had a bit more time as well as a bit more courage to get up in front of everyone. Happy Thanksgiving!
